Star Wars Battlefront Companion App Review [iOS/Android]

battlefront_iconIf you’re a Star Wars fan, more than likely you are playing EA and DICE’s latest, Star Wars Battlefront. It’s a game that has had some mixed reviews mainly for its lack of a single player, story driven option and its focus on multiplayer only modes. For fans though, it’s a game that is rich with Star Wars imagery and a game that allows us to fulfill our dreams of crushing the rebellion or overthrowing the empire. Whether it’s flying an X-Wing fighter or playing as Darth Vader, Star Wars Battlefront is a game that has a lot of Star Wars details baked in that most Star Wars fans will go gaga over – my self included. What if you want more from your experience that extends beyond the game? I suggest downloading the Star Wars Battlefront Companion App on either iOS or Android.

Steelseries Stratus XL for Windows + Android Review [Updated 2018.03.07]

Mobile gaming is fun. It’s an easy way to game on the go with tons of games being relatively cheap. What’s not fun about it is the fact that some games just don’t work quite as well with touchscreen controls or aren’t as enjoyable. Mainly these were games that were traditionally played with a controller but don’t translate well to touchscreen. So what is one … Continue reading Steelseries Stratus XL for Windows + Android Review [Updated 2018.03.07]

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Companion App [Android]

MGSVappI’m a fan of companion apps for video games. I’m a console gamer (PS4) and love it when I’m able to extend gameplay beyond the TV. Companion apps allow me to do more with my games and I think anything that can get me more immersed in my gameplay is a good thing. Several major games that have come out over the past few years have had a companion app, though it still isn’t done often enough in my opinion. Whenever a new game comes out, I always to check to see if there is one and when there isn’t, I’m actual a bit disappointed that the developers didn’t go that extra mile for the fans. That’s not the case with Konami and Hideo Kojima’s latest masterpiece, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. There is a companion app of the same name in both the Google Play and iTunes App Store, but today I’ll be checking out the Android version of the app.

Game Recorder+ App for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Review

gamerecorder_iconOne of the coolest features on the Sony Xperia Z3 was the ability to record my games from the device. I was able to record gameplay videos and upload them straight to Youtube. With the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, this wasn’t an option out of the box. There’s no app preloaded on the device that does this and had to head on over to Google Play to find a similar app that would fit my needs. There were a ton of apps to choose from, but one that caught my eye was one called Game Recorder+ which so happened to have been created by Samsung Electronics Games. I guess what better game recording app to try out for the Galaxy S6 Edge than one made by Samsung, right?

Bouncy Basketball Review [Android]

bouncybasketball_iconI don’t play much realistic sports games on mobile because lets be honest, they are just impossible to control with a touch screen. The only sports games I’ve played and enjoyed have been ones that only take certain aspects of those sports have creatively found unique ways to incorporate use of touch controls. Take Bouncy Basketball for instance. It simplifies the game of basketball by reducing it to a 2vs2 experience with nothing but tapping as a means of controlling your players.

Hitman Sniper Review [iOS & Android]

hitman_sniper_iconHitman Sniper is the long awaited mobile version of Square Enix’s original PC game, Hitman Sniper Challenge (which was only available as a pre-order bonus for Hitman Absolution). Hitman Sniper was announced almost a year ago after the very successful Hitman Go. Along the way, Hitman Sniper saw several delays and came out way after the original estimated release date. However, the delays seemed to have produced a highly polished Hitman experience that has Agent 47 return as a silent assassin with nothing more than a sniper rifle and a cool head to carry out his objectives.
