Blur – Transform Ordinary Photos Into Blurry Wallpapers (iOS App Review)

blur_iconMost of you probably have custom wallpapers installed on your iPhone or iPad and most of you probably change them out on a regular basis. If you’re looking to spruce up your wallpapers a bit with something different, check out Blur from Enormous. This is a very simple app with one sole purpose: to make beautifully looking, blurred wallpapers using any photo from your camera roll.

When I say simple, I mean dead simple. There are only 3 buttons and a slider you need to worry about. The large Blur button randomly chooses a photo and blurs it for you. The bottom left button is for choosing a photo yourself, and the the bottom right button is to save your new wallpaper. The slider increases or decreases the amount of blur. That’s it.

Blur may not be the most feature rich app out there but what it does, it does it well. It has 1 very specific function and most of the wallpapers it creates look really cool, especially if the original photo is bright and colorful. This isn’t going to be an app for everyone, but if you’ve ever wanted to make your own uniquely blurry wallpapers, this app is definitely for you.
