As some of you know, I use to already own a Acura TSX, but a 2005 model. This was before Acura added a bunch of little extras here and there on the 2006 model. Here’s a run down of what my 2005 did not come with.
1. No Bluetooth
2. No memory functions for the seats
3. No computer thingy on the dash
4. No aux jack for mp3 players
5. No tire pressure monitors (I actually prefer not having this)
6. 5 less horsepower
7. No fog lights
8. No voice command
That’s all I can think of right now off the top of my head.
Now for my impressions. I don’t know how I use to live without bluetooth. It is so much easier dialing and talking without having to hold my phone in my hand the whole time. I mean I don’t talk that much on the phone while I’m driving, but its a great comfort to have. I can actually drive now without feeling handy capped. The new memory seat options are also great as my wife sometimes drives this car and its great now that I don’t have to guess where my old seat position was.
Everything else I didn’t have, wasn’t such a big deal. I had another head unit for Aux, so it’s not something new, although I’m glad I don’t have to rip apart my dash to install something like this again. Also I the fog lights are nice to have but I haven’t even had a chance to use them yet as I haven’t ventured out at night yet. I could really do without the tire pressure monitors though as I have a feeling I am going to get the Tire pressure warning when I switch out my wheels to my Volks.
All in all, it was a good trade. I got more for less.
