This blog isn’t really being maintained anymore thanks to my other project – thegamerwithkids.com. I do all my posting up there now for the most part. This site will still stay up since there is a lot of previous content on here that doesn’t quite fit into my other site. I may figure out another use for this one later however.

Here’s Sir Patrick Stewart on one of my favorite automotive shows, Top Gear. He also does a quick lap for the Star in a Reasonably-Priced Car segment where he actually gets a pretty good time.

Also, Patrick Stewart must know the secret to eternal life or he picked up something from Star Trek because honestly, this guy does not age.  He looks pretty much exactly like he did when first became known as Captain Jean Luc Picard.

I have a new blog setup called “The Gamer With Kids” which is a more focused site than this one. (Tech)nically Speaking is more of a personal blog where I would post up a lot of things that don’t fit in with the other sites I write for normally so many of the posts were about all sorts of general topics.

For “The Gamer With Kids,” I wanted to make a site that was more focused that only deals with gaming, animation, and gadgets. Those 3 topics intertwine each other and they are a big part of my life. If that’s the stuff you like, please bookmark my other blog. It will really be more editorial based with each post having a personal spin to it. At least that is the plan. In any case, it is a work in progress.

As for this site, I am still updating this one on a regular basis but I think it will be going back to the way it was and focus more on the randomness.

I’m a big fan of all thing Star Wars, well maybe not all, (ehem.. Jar Jar) but for the most part, I love Star Wars related gear especially if they have to do with the original trilogy. Apple today introduced their new Magic Trackpad. This is basically the Multi-touch trackpad from their Macbook Pro line but made for desktop use. The Magic Trackpad is much larger than your standard Macbook Pro multi-touch trackpad and supports all the gestures you already know.

I think its a neat concept, but I’m really not willing to give up my the easy of my mouse in order to use gestures. In fact, I have a Macbook Pro and I hate using the trackpad. When I can, I always plug in a mouse, and not the Apple Magic Mouse, but a “normal” 3 button mouse often used on PCs.

Whether the Magic Trackpad takes off or not remains to be seen but I have a feeling that most people would still rather use their trusty mouse. Plus, the trackpad is not a game friendly input device I would assume. Ever try playing Portal with the trackpad? Almost impossible.

Some of you may not have even heard of a Pagani Zonda R but just know that it just ripped the Nürburgring in 6min 47sec. If the car was street legal, it would be a world record, but its not. Despite that, the 6:47 time is very impressive.

Pagani does make a street legal Zonda so the tech and the parts from this test car may make it to production versions of the car. Curious what a Zonda is? Check out Top Gears review of the Pagani Zonda here.

Early I posted up about the Wolverine Anime Trailer and how different Wolverine looked from what we are used to seeing. Now I bring you the Iron Man Anime Trailer. Unlike the Wolverine Anime, Iron Man is instantly recognizable with his signature Red and Gold. The armor is Iron Man. Other than that though, we know nothing about what Tony Stark looks like but we do get a glimpse of the villains as well as someone who I assume as Pepper Potts.

I’ll say that Iron Man Anime looks much more impressive and exciting than the Wolverine trailer and I really like the whole style of it. I’m lookingforward to watching it when and if it ever comes out here.

This trailer depicts a Wolverine like we’ve never seen him before. In fact, looking at him, you wouldn’t even know he was Wolverine until his signature claws came out. This is a semi-old trailer for a Wolverine Anime which I’m assuming is a re-imagination of the character. All I can say is that I don’t really like it. The Wolverine shown here is just too much of a pretty boy to be Wolverine. Where’s the ruggedness and animal like features? I’m not so sure fans of the character would accept this at all.

I’d really like to know if anyone has information about this because at a price of only $149.99, it might be a neat little toy to get just to be able to mess around with android and not have to buy an Android phone. According to the ad, the device is wifi enabled.

I may make a run to Kmart this week just to see what the GENTOUCH looks like in person and what the real specs and OS version are.

Now that we have more information about it, would you still get it? For $149.99, I don’t think its a bad deal whatsoever. The specs aren’t as impressive as the iPad or even the newest Android mobile phones, but what you get for $149.99 seems to be a decent tablet that is able to view websites, email, video, ebooks, pictures and be able to access the Android Marketplace. Also what’s great is that the device already include Android 2.1 which is a step ahead of most of these generic style Android tablets that only have 1.6 installed.

As you may have read i n the comments however. Kmart might not even have these in stock yet even though it is advertised in this week’s ad. I would either call ahead first so you don’t waste a trip.
